Shopping In Milan FOTD

And next up, we have Shopping in Milan! Again you can view the swatches here and sorry for skipping Coffee in New York, I'll try and do that next.


So here I decided to do full face makeup with foundation, concealer, the works. So I decided I'd start with just foundation and concealer, without the eye makeup, blusher, lipgloss.



It seems that I went over one eyebrow with powder and didn't noticer, that's why they look weird, woops!

And now...with the eye makeup from the palette along with Sleek Gel Liner and mascara.



I used the darker lipgloss on this one, it's quite a nice look :)





And here we have with the lighter lipgloss and I actually like this picture a lot for once :)

Dinner In Paris FOTD

So as promised here is the first FOTD with the Sephora 5 in 1 Colorplay palette, this one for the Dinner In Paris palette, which you can look at the swatches here.

So I didn't do a black smokey eye as that would be WAY too overbearing on my face, considering the black hair and black eyebrows I have.

See? Very light and still was nearly bordering on too dark. I did the blush and the lipgloss as well, as you can see the blush is REALLY prominent, in the beginning it was too prominent, but otherwise this is great for the classic look.

Sephora Colorplay 5 in 1 Palette Clubbing in Tokyo 5/5

YAY WE'RE FINALLY DONE! This is the final installment of the five Sephora Colorplay palettes and I'm pretty chuffed to have finally done it. Wow, that was a lot of finallys.

So the Clubbing in Tokyo palette is basically pastel colours, which means that the colours are okay at best as they're all pretty light.



You can sort of see the organisation of the palette here with one row being the darker colours and then the next row, each of those colours' lighter equivalents.




And also here we don't really have a specific colour range, just yellow, green, pink, blue and a yellow-green. Although the lighter green looks bluer than it should be.



Again, fallout in the glosses...argh the colours are gorgeous though. Again with the pastel theme, a pale lipgloss and then a lovely bright pink, exactly what I love. The blush is quite light and I'm not sure whether it'd show up on my skintone, I had some difficulties with swatching it, actually.



Wow, surprise here! The light colours are actually decently pigmented, which contradicts what I was thinking as the other palettes are poorer in terms of light colour quality.


The lipglosses are pretty good as well, as you can see the pale oneis quite sheer, so it wouldn't blank out your lips. As for the blush, here you can see how it's not very good at showing up on my skin.



So that's it for the Sephora 5 in 1 palette! I've decided I'm now going to do some FOTDs with each palette, some of which will already be posted by the time this is published, so I hope you like them. Comments would be incredibly appreciated and would make you get a virtual cookie :) xx

Sephora Colorplay 5 in 1 Tango in Buenos Aires Palette 4/5

Part 4/5 is Tango in Buenos Aires composed of blues and greens (wow that's a very interesting description)



So here we actually have some contrasting eye and lip colours (well, thank god for that, I dunno about you, but I'm not keen on blue lipgloss)



Again, we have some glittery, matte and shimmery shades. A bit of everything, which is really quite handy for this palette because it'll satisfy everyone.




The lipglosses are GORGEOUS, especially the coral shade, although as you can see, I've experienced some fallout which has messed it up and for that reason, you don't get the exact colour unless you're very careful where you put your brush. The blusher is quite good for contouring as it's leaning on the yellow side rather than being pink.




Now all the shades in this are pretty pigmented, which is great compared to the previous one which was kind of iffy.


So here you can see the lipglosses which are a bit bluer due to the fallout of the eyeshadows next to them, which is quite a big con to the whole palette, as it's happened with all the lipglosses, except these are the only ones that are noticeable.

Love it or Leave it tag

So Alicia over at Funny Face Beauty (incredible blog, go check it out NOW!) did this tag and she tagged all her followers so I decided to do it as well :)

Eyeliner:
Love it: Sleek Ink Pot Gel Liner - i know some people prefer liquid liners, but I just prefer this so much to liquid liners as I don't need to wait around for it to dry and I find it lasts longer.
Leave it: Sephora eyeliner - this doesn't last incredibly long and I just think as with most Sephora products, that it's overpriced.

Mascara:
Love it: Maybelline Colossal Volume - this gives me great results for the price it is, I find it gives a better curl than Diorshow Iconic!
Leave it: Urban Decay's Big Fatty - the brush is just too big unfortunately and makes a whole mess and is especially painful when you poke your eye with it

Eyeshadow:
Love it: Urban Decay ‘Sellout' Eyeshadow - I LOVE this! it's really light and creamy and I know it's a highlight colour but I adore using it on my eyelid, makes my eyes pop :)
Leave it: I can't actually think of one, that's really bugging me now.

Brow Pencil:
Love it: Rimmel Professional Brow Pencil - This has replaced the Brow Zings and is much better, it's easier to use and looks better
Leave it: Benefit’s ‘Brow Zings - First of all, the powder broke and also I think the wax makes my eyebrows look reallly harsh.

Foundation:
Love it: 17 Ainti Fatigue Foundation - this is quite good for minimum coverage and matches my skintone pretty well, my only qualm is it glitters a bit =/
Leave it:Again, I don't really have one I dont' like, I'm not very experienced with foundations and don't really have a lot of them.

Powder:
Love it:L'Oreal Mineral Makeup True Match Foundation Powder - this is alot better than my foundation and it really does give me great looking skin.
Leave it: AGAIN, another one wherew I don't have any I don't like, because I only have the L'oreal one and have only needed that one.

Concealer:
Love it: 17's Anti-Fatigue Under-eye concealer - this was great! I used it a lot and it really brightened under my eyes up but eventually it dried out :(
Leave it: Sephora's Corrector Palette - this is really chalky and doesn't do much to disguise redness, under eye circles, or anything basically

Blush:
Love it: MeMeMe Poppy Tint - I just sing praise about this, it is fantastic! it stays on for ages and gives me a lovely natural pink flush :)
Leave it: MNY's liquid concealer - this stains a lot and you have to be so quick to blend it otherwise you have dark pink patches on your cheeks, which isn't good



Lipstick:
Love it: Barry M Touch of Magic lipstick - this is incredible, I love how long it lasts and how dark it is, it was my first lippie and my fave <3
Leave it: Barry M Baby Pink - I don't hate it by any means, I'm just not sure whther I can pull it off very well...

Lipgloss:
Love it: No7 High Shine Lipgloss - I'm not sure which shade I have (whisper I believe), but this is glittery yet I STILL love it, which shows how great it is as I don't really like glittery stuff
Leave it: Any Claire's lipgloss - I just do not like them

I've left a few things out like Bronzer and lipbalms cause I don't use them, but if you like this, just do it as I'm too lazy to tag anyone hehe :P

Trier Haul!

So yesterday I was asked if I fancied tagging along to Trier with my best friend yesterday and I jumped at the chance, because the german drugstores are just so much better than the only one that exists in Luxembourg.

Also Trier has a Claire's Accessories and I've been wanting to try out their false eyelashes for a while now.



So basically all I got was the Claire's eyelashes and then some MNY stuff (despite not being a big lover of the pale eyeshadows, I decided to give them another chance. and those nail varnishes looked cute)

As you can see, I have two varnishes of the same shade and that's because I liked the look of it and decided I'll add it to my giveaway (of course that won't be the main focus of it, it's just a little random something)

So here we have a nice metallic red from their Limited Edition I am a jungle chick collection. Honestly, the whole I am a ______ line is really annoying, as they've been doing it with every LE collection, but I'm more interested in the products than the names, so I'll just let that slide. The nail varnishes cost 1.95€ each which is quite a decent price and I think these are quite good quality from various german blogs that I've read.



Next up are two eyeshadows, neither of which are limited edition and these too cost 1.95€. I haven't opened them yet as I'm debating whether or not to include one of them in the giveaway as well, so unfortunately no swatches.





Here we have the eyelashes from Claire's that cost £5.00 in the UK and 6.95€ here in Europe. These weren't even the biggest ones there and I got these because I've been wanting to experiment with falsies for a while now and the ones in Schlecker here cost about 10 euros yet look a lot worse than the Claire's ones.





There you have two very messy and quick nail swatches of the two colours done, I'll try and do a NOTD for them at some point during the week.



And here we have a quick look with the falsies, which you can see are a bit long for my lashes. The eyeshadow and eyebrow are quite messy as I did this last minute at night so I could show you guys what they look like xx :)

Some more Outfits of the Day!

So I take loads of pictures of my outfits during the week, but I always think 'Nah, one outfit per post is a waste', so I decided to do a few at a time :)

Starting with my most recent outfit from Thursday (not that that means I haven't worn anything since then haha, it's just I didn't take pictures)



So the blazer and top are from Primark (trusty primark hehe) and the skirt is from C&A, which I think had a rep for being crappy quality back when it existed in the UK, but it's improved quite a lot lately, so I go there quite often.


This was from not this past week, but the week before and the blazer's from New Look, the dress is from C&A's and the lacy tights are from Auchan, a french supermarket that had some lovely tights and the purple tights are from somewhere in England, my mum brought them back for me but I dunno where she got them.

Here we have the same blazer from before, a top from Primark, a skirt from New Look and those same lacy tights except over neon pink primark ones.
