It was your typical winter virus, except this time it decided to hang around for a few weeks - even now I'm still coughing and feeling bunged up - but the virus itself wasn't the problem. Oh no, I was in agony because my lips were chapped to the max! I have no idea why this time they were so bad as I've never had terribly chapped lips, but they hurt like hell and it made eating and drinking very unpleasant. On the bright side, I did look like Angelina Jolie in the mornings!<br />
<br />
Just to show you all, I took a picture of my lips a few days after Christmas. They were on the road to recovery at this point, but still quite painful. I didn't take any pictures of them while they were really bad (except on instagram but thankfully the quality prevents you from seeing what they really felt like).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWqgiYuIutgSYlnSvL0EnykmJ_rLpeOIg3_KAGw50TvXTxdBoA3BXsiIT4G7f33S-i-2XgYqtGMdq_62PWGZ74uEZ7snxvhOZbEyqTbXNoDWfh_HeIm92ejhXv5zR16sZeXuR4JoTMHY0H/s1600/december+001.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWqgiYuIutgSYlnSvL0EnykmJ_rLpeOIg3_KAGw50TvXTxdBoA3BXsiIT4G7f33S-i-2XgYqtGMdq_62PWGZ74uEZ7snxvhOZbEyqTbXNoDWfh_HeIm92ejhXv5zR16sZeXuR4JoTMHY0H/s1600/december+001.png" /></a></div>
<br />
In hindsight, they don't look too bad but then they were covered in lip balm incessantly at the time. What I will point out is that they look slightly ombred, which meant that they were quite sensitive too.<br />
<br />
So enough of the how, the main point of this post is to go through the various lip balms I used <b>and more importantly</b>, which actually helped?<br />
<br />

So here we have all the various products I used, including another method that I will mention when I come to the product. I have edited these images as I felt they needed jazzing up and the true colours of these products don't actually matter.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Lypsyl Lipbalm Original</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b>Agatha Ruiz De La Prada raspberry lip balm</b>: This was the lip balm I happened to have in my bag and frankly, I wasn't expecting much from it. First off, it's scented so it's more of a little trinket than a useful lip balm that's meant to heal your lips. It did give me a bit of relief when I had it on but that didn't last long, nor did it help in the long run. Aside from that, it's incredibly difficult too get the lid off (at school, I've had five people try and take it off with only one succeeding) so that it's a major drawback. I would give it 2/5 as I didn't feel it was that effective.<br />
<br />
<b>Vaseline lip therapy:</b> We all know Vaseline is the go-to solution when you have chapped lips, but does it always help? No would be the answer. As my sister rightfully pointed out, it's just petroleum jelly and only coats your lips. So like the first lip balm, it doesn't do anything to heal them. I also thought it had an addictive side, as I could not stop slathering it onto my lips. I was nearly finished with the pot after three days! Having said that, putting it on my lips gave me more relief than the first balm, but I really had to put a thick layer on. Mind you, it <i>does</i> only claim to sooth dry skin and chapped lips, so it did do what it tells you it will but it didn't improve the state of my lips.<br />
<br />
Speaking of which, I got rather desperate and googled the problem and found a suggestion to put honey on your lips and Vaseline over the honey and leave it for ten minutes. Not only did it not help, it also stung a lot and was quite painful so I wouldn't recommend that method.<br />
<br />
So I would give Vaseline 2.5/5 as it did help when I had it on, but sadly it didn't improve the chappedness (not a real word, I know).<br />
<br />
<b>Lypsyl Lipbalm Original</b>: I asked my Granny to get a lip balm in a tube as opposed to a pot when she went out to get her morning paper and she came back with this. I was quite optimistic when I saw this because it says it contains Aloe Vera and vitamin E so I was hoping it would be more effective than the previous two. Unfortunately the consistence is what ruined it. The texture of the lip balm is very rough and not at all pleasant to use on very sensitive lips! Nor did it seem to blend well with my lips so I didn't get the feeling that it helped a lot. I had hoped for a lot from this but it was very disappointing and not at all soothing so I'd give it a 1..5/5.<br />
<br />

<i>Hema lip rescue</i></div>
<br />
<b>Crabtree & Evelyn Aloe Vera lip balm</b>: Admittedly, this one is a few years old so its effectiveness is most likely quite lacking. I found this on my desk when I'd concluded that the Lypsyl one was useless and I was looking for a new one. Unfortunately this didn't help a bit and was also quite rough so I wasn't very impressed with it. 1/5<br />
<br />
<b>Labello Med Protection SPF 15</b>: I asked my Dad to buy me a lip balm that looked like it would help damaged lips and when he came back with this, I was suitably impressed. It looks quite official and quite medicinal. I also checked and the brand has a line that is meant for damaged lips, so no flavours at all. I felt like this helped quite a bit more than anything else I had. It wasn't a miracle but it definitely seemed to have some long-lasting proprieties. I would give it 4/5.<br />
<br />
<b>Hema Lip Rescue: </b>And as this is the last one, you can guess that it's also the best! My sister gave it to me one evening, saying she found it and didn't need it and she thought it might help. And help it did! Not only does it have the typical aloe vera, it also contains mint which had quite the cooling effect and really helped sooth my lips. I definitely felt like this was improving my lips and continued to use it until my lips were almost back to normal. 4.5/5<br />
<br />
So there you have my little review of the various lip balms I've used and I hope it helps some people! What do you think is the best lip balm out there? I've heard that Carmex is quite effective and I had the pot once; I believe it also has a slight minty scent along with cherry? I didn't have time to get that one when I was in England but please, let me know what lip balms you think help!<br />

I hope you all had a lovely New Year's Eve and are enjoying the first day of 2013. This post is slightly related to NYE as I was looking for a nice dress to wear. A week ago I saw this beautiful dress in Mango and I fell in love with it instantly. You know, the kind of dress you believe is your dream dress and you would actually be willing to buy, despite it being above your normal budget for clothes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv95fT-FGesiaNS_m7U1gYgUOMoi1f8Gg37dALV9NuOpZ1ArAaN1hkL6uJlZl42EMg6zysO2nuyVmRc7zAikqEZ7MVlVMtyKp5Jz-8lqXJ-SVri2xJvOX_iHAsB4b9SprPPl419MGXy940/s1600/75439795_02_B.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv95fT-FGesiaNS_m7U1gYgUOMoi1f8Gg37dALV9NuOpZ1ArAaN1hkL6uJlZl42EMg6zysO2nuyVmRc7zAikqEZ7MVlVMtyKp5Jz-8lqXJ-SVri2xJvOX_iHAsB4b9SprPPl419MGXy940/s1600/75439795_02_B.jpg" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
You can't see it very well on this picture, but the transparent material has gold sparkles that seem very festive and ideal for NYE. So despite it costing 50 euros, which is way more than I would usually spend on a dress, I was very tempted to buy it. And when the sales started, I was even more tempted as it may be reduced and I decided, even if it does cost 50 euros, I'd still buy it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So I go to Mango with my sister, find it in both L and XL, so everything was looking good at this point. I tried the XL on first and... it didn't fit. Now being a size 16 (sometimes 18), I was expecting an XL to fit. And by didn't fit, I should elaborate by saying it squished my boobs down and I <b>could</b> have got it to fit, but it wouldn't have looked very nice.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So there I was, thinking maybe I had overindulged over Christmas and I'd gained a bit too much. But then I looked at the tag and apparently XL (their biggest size) is a UK size 14, or a size 42 in Luxembourg. Now I wasn't aware that 14 was considered XL, but apparently Mango is a Spanish brand, which means the sizes are quite a lot smaller. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Now, what annoys me is that they only stock to a size 14. Okay, they're not the only brand that only stocks to a size 14 (isn't that right, Motel?) but the fact that a 14 is considered XL really bugs me (for reference, a 14 in Motel is an L). Does that mean a size 16 is XXL? Size 18 XXXL? Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Most brands stock to <b>at least</b> a size 18, perhaps they have a specific range for larger sizes, but the main thing is that if you're a size 16, you can still find nice clothes in most shops. It's not really fair that certain shops don't stock to an 18. It's like they're saying 'No, you have to be smaller to shop here'. In a way, it's their loss because they lose a customer (or more) because of their narrow range of sizes. But it's still me who feels upset because I quite liked that dress. I'm also quite happy with my size. Ok, I could lose a bit of weight from my tummy and face, but I don't want to go on a mega diet to drop a few sizes. And why should I? Yet still, the fact remains that I now feel that I can be considered as too fat for certain clothes when I am not actually grossly overweight. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Generally, you are excluded from certain shops as you can't afford their clothes. Nowadays it seems you're judged on your size as well, what with the size zero craze over in Hollywood. It disappoints me that you're not only limited in where you shop by your budget, but also by your size. And as I said before, it's a silly notion as limiting your audience means you could also potentially be limiting your profit. Maybe that doesn't apply to designer brands, but I think it does to high street ones. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
hat </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So now that I know that Mango doesn't stock clothes in my size, I'll avoid it and stick to shops that <b>do</b>. Of course, it is a shame as I wanted to branch out from where I shop, but I guess I'll have to try somewhere else. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

I know, you've probably been inundated by Christmas posts, but it is that time of the year and I love seeing everyone share photos of their day. Frankly, I thought this year would be very weird and awkward as it's our first year celebrating Christmas with one parent as opposed to the two (my mother chose to stay in England with her parents), but it was great actually! There wasn't an awkward atmosphere like last year and we all had lots of fun, even if I was under the weather.<br />
<br />
These pictures were all taken with my present, a Nikkor 35mm f1.8 lens! I haven't worked it out completely yet, but practice makes perfect!<br />

No matter how well I know my friends and family, there will always be someone whose gift I will be despairing over. So seeing lots of bloggers post ideas is always refreshing, even if they just push you in th right direction.<br />
<br />
Now I'm not going to post in general about gifts, rather I will talk about certain gifts that I have already got. Of course, these aren't gifts for my sisters as I know they read my blog and I'm not that stupid as to post about their presents.<br />
<br />
So today I'm going to post about my nan's present, which was quite a coincidental discovery. I was in the shopping centre after tutoring, waiting for my bus (yes, I have to get two buses to get home from tutoring, which isn't that much of a hardship) when I decided to amble along into the L'Occitane shop. I've been contemplating getting my mother a present there, but I didn't find anything that really stood out to me. But fortunately, my visit was not in vain as I discovered something I could get for my nan. I would have killed two birds with one stone and got one for my granny too, but I wasn't quite sure about what scent she liked so I had to wait.<br />

This is "4 Reines (4 queens)" rose trio, which I thought was a perfect present for my nan as she is quite fond of rose-scented things. The trio retails for 15€ in Europe, I couldn't find it on the English website but it should be around the same price. </div>

<br />
So in the set are a bath soap, a bath and shower gel and best of all, a hand cream. I myself love hand creams and it's a perfect gift for during the winter as your hands will need a bit of TLC. This gift may seem a bit 'grandmotherly' but I don't think it's limited to grandmothers as the shop really does have a lot of stuff, including some very interesting perfume scents and personally, I would quite pleased if I got something from L'Occitane as it's not something you really need, but you'd be pretty pleased if you get it anyway. It's also not as generic as getting something from Sephora (as in, the brand Sephora, which is what I used to get people when I wasn't quite sure what they wanted) as it does have a certain luxury to it.<br />
<br />
Not to mention the adorable packaging and in-store service. Yes, I am sold because their samples were a lot more pleasing than what I get from Sephora (really? two years on and you still give out the same Clarins cream sample?). So if you're in a bit of a rut of what to get a female friend or relative, I think you can't go wrong with L'Occitane unless of course, said friend gets headaches due to scented stuff ;)<br />

I myself have had a rather lucrative and productive weekend, babysitting and tutoring yesterday. I'm especially pleased with myself as I am saving up to buy everyone presents, especially once I get to England (16 days!). Aside from that, with yesterday the 1st of December, we've had our first (official) snowfall! It was lovely last night, watching it snow. Snow never fails to lift my spirits up, although unfortunately it had all melted by this afternoon...<br />
<br />
I have decided to do an outfit post as instead of just wandering around in my joggers and some random top, I actually put a different outfit on as I felt like wearing some of my more winter appropriate clothes, especially as it's officially December and it's getting quite chilly now.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I have yet to master the art of both posing and getting my camera in good position (let's hope Christmas fixes the latter - I'm hoping to get a tripod of some description). I don't usually wear leggings as I've always preferred tights. But I've seen a lot of people wearing leggings and a long top and it is quite a nice look, so I decided to try it out myself. I'm not sure if I would go out in this outfit, especially with the woolly cardigan - I fear it may be too in your face for some people in Luxembourg.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
But I would definitely like to try the leggings + long top combo, perhaps tomorrow if it's not too cold and if I dig a nice long top out of my wardrobe. I've noticed that I have a distinct lack of long tops and party dresses. In fact, I only really have three party dresses and one of them doesn't even fit me...</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheFw_rk16tPT4nXnLXVCd0hkFbqYfZ0ZCyyaEZ-Jj9-W3tyn14tGYiCRNdFJVhIS3VuLAPzUbQMg6SGoaEi2iETtMTNsCcMzutkk-WptJEGeTk9HEDSV5EYxv6axVfZGR8lqW0lUkQpNEg/s1600/006.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheFw_rk16tPT4nXnLXVCd0hkFbqYfZ0ZCyyaEZ-Jj9-W3tyn14tGYiCRNdFJVhIS3VuLAPzUbQMg6SGoaEi2iETtMTNsCcMzutkk-WptJEGeTk9HEDSV5EYxv6axVfZGR8lqW0lUkQpNEg/s1600/006.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
So the cardigan in question was a gift from my nan. She knows how much I like neon colours and whilst I have toned my wardrobe down from what it was like a few years ago (clashing colours galore if you're curious), I still do like the odd colourful piece. Knowing my nan, it's most likely from TK Maxx or M&S, and I just checked and it is indeed from Marks & Spencers. I like that the print isn't the most aesthetically pleasing, its oddness is endearing to me so maybe I will wear it out to school, even if people will think it's a monstrosity. At the least, I'll wear it if I attempt to take my dog for a walk (as a side note, I have the laziest dog ever).<br />
<br />
But the pattern is definitely wintery, so I will probably wear it most weekends, even if my dad winces when he sees it. My dad thinks my fashion choices are 'unique', in his diplomatic words, especially my pink doc martens, of which he isn't particularly fond.<br />
<br />
Anyway I hope you all like this post, although I am aware that my blog isn't nor will it ever be a fashion blog. I suppose I just like to occasionally post my outfit of the day, if it's something special. I won't post every day as usually I repeat my outfits weekly ;)<br />
<br />
So what do you all like to wear at home on lazy days? I've seen the trend of onesies grow but I haven't yet bought one...who knows, I might buy one when I'm in England :)<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
</div>
For as long as I can remember, I have hated brushing my hair. This is definitely due to the fact that my hair was -and still is- always a frizzy mess. My mother had a lot of difficulties getting me to brush it when I was a child, and when she took matters in her own hands and did it herself, it was still no walk in the park. In fact, when I went on a school trip for 10 days aged 11, my mother had to ask my best friend to make sure that I would brush my hair. But why did I have this attitude?<br />
<br />
Simple, really. My hair was full of knots and it was damned painful brushing it. Of course, it was only a few years ago that I realised I should comb it instead of brush it. So my hair then went from a frizzy, undefinable mass to somewhat manageable, still frizzy, curls. But the condition of it is...deplorable. I had resigned myself to having forever dry and broken hair, especially as I've managed to get it to grow so much later (Oh how fickle we can be!). But lately, I've realised just how painful it is even combing my hair, which I usually do during or after my shower, when my hair is still damp (I don't want to go back to the triangle of hair, after all). But by the next day, new knots will have formed, which sort of defies the whole point of combing it. To put this into perspective, I'm sure if I left my hair to its own devices, it would form natural dreadlocks, which isn't a look I'm particularly keen on for myself.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisfUoypfGPqBhPbOeeeAlqDwoEpanzJv7lORxCVrBPTbtV9gsg6KkLHM1EvPVZ5ibEwNiaQLoFo9gdc9qFwrVGPo-drMAPf8d85N_I0lwUhK_3urwrNS9lRxMXm8aFMoVGYeLE2Y-7c7NZ/s1600/Sep-Oct-Nov+2012+278.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisfUoypfGPqBhPbOeeeAlqDwoEpanzJv7lORxCVrBPTbtV9gsg6KkLHM1EvPVZ5ibEwNiaQLoFo9gdc9qFwrVGPo-drMAPf8d85N_I0lwUhK_3urwrNS9lRxMXm8aFMoVGYeLE2Y-7c7NZ/s400/Sep-Oct-Nov+2012+278.JPG" width="297" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">This is sadly what a post-combing session looks like</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
So what to do now? Well, for starters, I definitely need to invest in a hair mask. Tonight, I tried out a sample I got from L'Occitane which was for dry and broken hair. To be honest, I wasn't whether to be offended or not when the lady added it, but then I figured that it was nothing personal as I did choose the hair sample. So now I'm going to see how it affects my hair and if it works, I might get it (if I get over the price tag, sob).<br />
<br />
One thing I have learnt from my hair "journey" is that if you have curly hair like mine that's already damaged, avoid heat products like the plague. Yes, that includes hairdryers. I let my hair dry naturally, even in winter, because otherwise it gets more damaged despite heatsprays, and it just doesn't look good. I also only ever straighten my hair once in a blue moon as it never fully straightens anyway.<br />
<br />
So basically I'm going to try and chronicle my hair journey to see if using various products actually improves it. I can't say this will be a weekly thing because let's face it, I need to save up at this time of the year. <br />
<br />
I do however have a hair oil that I only ever used once that I think I'll try out when I have the time so I can see if it actually makes a difference to my hair.<br />
<br />
If anyone has any tips, I would be very thankful to hear them and I hope you all like this new 'feature' I want to attempt.<br />
<br />
On another note, could you all let me know if my layout is properly aligned? It is on my laptop, but I'm not sure it is on different resolutions. I might still change it to make it easier...<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
Hi everyone!<br />
<br />
Just a quick post to say I've changed the layout, but I'm not finished yet so it may seem a bit strange for the moment. What I'm trying to do is put links underneath the header that will link you to pages as I've noticed that my sidebar is a bit cluttered...<br />
<br />
If anyone has any tips on how to do this, they would be greatly appreciated as I'm not too confident with the method I'll be trying out...<br />
<br />
Thanks and bye!<br />
<br />

Lately I've been getting back into the blogging world with the help of my google reader app (even if it malfunctions a few times per day - anyone got any recommendations?) and I've been starting to feel the need (more of a want than need, after all it isn't an obligation) to start blogging again. But then I realised that whilst I do still love makeup, it's not my only interest nowadays. I feel like I have changed a lot recently, become maturer in a way although that has no relevance to makeup.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For instance, I've deactivated my facebook account because some backstabbing ex-friend thought she would start a fight with me over facebook. Having more class than that, I didn't respond, but I started thinking that it was so stupid that someone would start a fight on it and I decided to have a break from it. And I actually enjoy it. The thing is, we're all surrounded by social media, we don't realise how unnecessary it is. Of course, I am using one right now but I like the anonymity that comes with it. On Facebook, everyone (whom I'm "friends" with) knows who I am and what I'm posting. With a blog that I've only shared with my family and closest friends, nobody knows who exactly I am. I may be Nathalie, a makeup blogger, but I'm not Nathalie who lives in x and goes to y, ... . </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So I feel I've changed lately and with these changes, I haven't got such an avid interest in makeup. It's more like I've broadened my horizons. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So subsequently, I asked myself the question: Should I really still have a makeup blog? I mean, if I post about other stuff as well as makeup, I can't really call my blog <i>Oh la la Maquillage</i>, can I? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The term "lifestyle blog" is thrown around a lot, for want of a better time, but isn't that what a blog essentially is?Writing about your lifestyle, be it your clothes, your makeup, etc... </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So I think I'll reinvent this blog as I'd like to talk about different aspects of my life, one of which would be traveling as that is a new passion of mine and I love sharing photos or planning my next trip. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So I have two choices: just change the blog name and make a new layout, banner, etc.. or start with a new blog?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And as for the new name, I think I'll go with ohlalanatalia as it is somewhat keeping elements of my original blog and then, at the same time, making it more general. Of course, my name isn't Natalia but it sounds better ;) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So I would just like to ask my readers (although that term comes across as too possessive, I'll just stick to people who read my blog) what your thoughts on this are. I've always been someone who likes a bit of advice before deciding so please, tell me what you make of it :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And by the way, I've changed my comments setting to moderated as I've been getting so many spam comments and it's really been annoying me.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<br />
Again it has been quite a while since I've blogged, but instead of a super long post, I'm using iphone pictures as I haven't used my camera very much lately.<br />
<br />
I have a few FOTDs for you all, one using stuff that I bought when I went to Saarbrucken the other week and others just whenever I did something special with my makeup, which has become more and more rare as I've slipped into my school routine but I intend on changing that!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtlww2jIy8Fwj-jxXfrnASXJ9wXgOAYFI-jgpBItFPXID4LZLvCuWBKkBlIjObGjQn4g5C11XIHYWBglQWPn8IAwUJ-eY-36YW9zXIXU5Hpj6zCUDcU0qs94hngGjCpCx6wfEFnZTtxQjh/s1600/iphone+october+sept+aug+115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtlww2jIy8Fwj-jxXfrnASXJ9wXgOAYFI-jgpBItFPXID4LZLvCuWBKkBlIjObGjQn4g5C11XIHYWBglQWPn8IAwUJ-eY-36YW9zXIXU5Hpj6zCUDcU0qs94hngGjCpCx6wfEFnZTtxQjh/s400/iphone+october+sept+aug+115.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I still had my fringe then but by now it's grown out and I'm not sure if I should get it trimmed. It would be lovely if my nice readers could help me decide...*puppy eyes*<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvE1VWFogcB_sJQYp5T9X0F1FrGDGW51jRJcFXpjSi98xtJdHS9mC0Z57W0GIj1UVTWb1zr_O_MA8vFBfgqRi9JqRPUAPmbEoD1Xons0eMzXVnJdw7F56BX0kkjynzzbBosOmcBmRqE9s1/s1600/iphone+october+sept+aug+228.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvE1VWFogcB_sJQYp5T9X0F1FrGDGW51jRJcFXpjSi98xtJdHS9mC0Z57W0GIj1UVTWb1zr_O_MA8vFBfgqRi9JqRPUAPmbEoD1Xons0eMzXVnJdw7F56BX0kkjynzzbBosOmcBmRqE9s1/s400/iphone+october+sept+aug+228.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So here we have my mini haul. Well I say mini haul, actually I spent waayyy too much in Primark (I have no winter clothes) but at least I didn't spend much on makeup! Catrice is super cheap and the quality is quite good so I'm very pleased with my haul. The lip tint is very opaque, which is excellent, although it wears off after a few hours but for the price it was, I'm very content. The gel eyeliner is very nice too, I'm just concerned it'll dry out quickly (only time can tell), but application is very easy and it does last all day. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4ALWKoTGbJ_sW6fMcyHqCAbsgm2LodMgfhiPCef361dVFnqVRRas8T6JQZOT6-r1ghwWOG5u7ewLboG26ZHwbp1tvmg6T-smzsYIZiPrQm3u6x8ZHl_PrOKW299NiKzprMjSI3Ahf4Ovv/s1600/iphone+october+sept+aug+231.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4ALWKoTGbJ_sW6fMcyHqCAbsgm2LodMgfhiPCef361dVFnqVRRas8T6JQZOT6-r1ghwWOG5u7ewLboG26ZHwbp1tvmg6T-smzsYIZiPrQm3u6x8ZHl_PrOKW299NiKzprMjSI3Ahf4Ovv/s400/iphone+october+sept+aug+231.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
This is the "Oh My Goldness" nail polish with polka dots added on with a random unbranded nail air pen. It's quite a peculiar varnish cause at first you think the first coat isn't opaque enough so you apply a second and turns out that's too much. Well, that's probably because I'm very heavy-handed so that didn't work out very well for me. I need to acquire patience when doing my nails :P . <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSfdM_Xo0AFtimtQFogxdtNPePwUos74dI7zkTVvApFMpDrXxcEWqNS_C_PI2zAlrtxT-Cz727FWMa3g4OzSniKqXCrM8Zm_Ozq_Eq0F_9wBtXTAKWUsTYpWVS8jpAEadogflE_CimdRk6/s1600/iphone+october+sept+aug+233.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSfdM_Xo0AFtimtQFogxdtNPePwUos74dI7zkTVvApFMpDrXxcEWqNS_C_PI2zAlrtxT-Cz727FWMa3g4OzSniKqXCrM8Zm_Ozq_Eq0F_9wBtXTAKWUsTYpWVS8jpAEadogflE_CimdRk6/s400/iphone+october+sept+aug+233.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And this is an early morning FOTD using the above products. The lighting's not fantastic but you can see that the liner is dark (and not grey, I hate those liners that are very wishy washy), but unfortunately you can't see the lip tint very well. I would take a picture today but I'm having a bad skin day urgh...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaypFX5F83XgSxIF-VQbSDp8Aqt08utcLmXLRlQktJKxN9xskY8Z6cUkChAz2gLok7FX9QD9Q6BEW82CGlAbp-zzRtC-QxcPiw1upNzRiaThesDslnpEVo7wJ46N-Dj7rngzn2Lz04moEC/s1600/iphone+october+sept+aug+256.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaypFX5F83XgSxIF-VQbSDp8Aqt08utcLmXLRlQktJKxN9xskY8Z6cUkChAz2gLok7FX9QD9Q6BEW82CGlAbp-zzRtC-QxcPiw1upNzRiaThesDslnpEVo7wJ46N-Dj7rngzn2Lz04moEC/s400/iphone+october+sept+aug+256.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And last but not least, my new jeggings and boots! I love these boots, they cost 30 euros and are from a German shop called Jumix (I think) and they were much nicer than what Primark had to offer so I'm glad I didn't just settle and buy some from Primark, because afterwards I got lucky!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'll try and post again this week, maybe Friday or more likely Saturday, so stay tuned! </div>

Hi everyone!</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Lately, I've been experimenting more with my makeup, trying different looks every day as on Monday, I'm starting my second (and hopefully more pleasant) summer job as a cashier in the sort of local supermarket (actually there are two closer to me...) and I've always noticed how most of the ladies working at the tills put a lot of effort into their looks and experiment with their makeup. I would say they look quite put together, but unfortunately I have seen a few cases of bright blue eyeshadow, so that's not always the case. :P</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
So anyway, as opposed to showing up looking like the living dead - trust me, I looked horrendous when I was emptying out bins last week... - I'd like to look nice so I've been seeing what kind of makeup I should go for, as I have been quite lazy these past few months.</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
The other week, I went to an outlet centre in Belgium and in the Body Shop there, everything was super cheap so I splurged a bit. Unfortunately, I just deleted the pictures as I thought I had them on my laptop, but turns out I don't so you'll have to bear with me until I post about what I bought, as I've managed to lose the cheek tint, which is really annoying me at the moment.</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Back to what I was originally harping on about, today I decided to (for once) photograph my makeup step by step AND take pictures of the products I'm using, which I usually forget to do. (The above paragraph is revelant because I bought a face powder which I'm very happy with and which will feature in this post.)<br />
<br />
First of all, it's recently been brought to my attention that you should use a powder puff to apply powder instead of a brush! <a href="http://www.inhermakeupbag.com/">Steph @ In Her Makeup Bag</a> posted about this after having seen a video by gossmakeupartist and after reading and watching the video, I tried it out with a powder puff (well actually I think it was a sponge, but it's the same principle, I think) and the difference really is noticeable. With a brush, the coverage was acceptable, but it's a lot better with a puff, which is great for me as I really don't like the feeling of foundation so I'm starting to rely on powder. In this picture, I've applied powder to the right side of my face and it really makes a great difference, in my opinion.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1elXIE-4wZAfTLLb2fO6yDmTSgTlNIrYw4MCd98j-Zx6rghp4q-0nLm9i58-5YNrdprGIEGlPw-R7dqaa2CUXMlmzA8487zGy7oC2B47Zl6tx0eEUPE-xSb3iOXhONHrjEyrJ3Ig7_3AD/s1600/DSC_3309.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="427" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1elXIE-4wZAfTLLb2fO6yDmTSgTlNIrYw4MCd98j-Zx6rghp4q-0nLm9i58-5YNrdprGIEGlPw-R7dqaa2CUXMlmzA8487zGy7oC2B47Zl6tx0eEUPE-xSb3iOXhONHrjEyrJ3Ig7_3AD/s640/DSC_3309.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
So here is my face with my base on - basically primer, concealer(s) and powder.</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPX-D69vh99P7w4QhkmKSaU8zeyQQEo-RXJQSUtZx7HC21VBBQOkW9EbsdqnaOV7EXkB5A60xnfP5A6cutil-JooiBWU6cdq3gdCHOvrZF5AuZvAIK_z6Lc8z5tWwQQsvmEXLJ4uRyDLu7/s1600/DSC_3311.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPX-D69vh99P7w4QhkmKSaU8zeyQQEo-RXJQSUtZx7HC21VBBQOkW9EbsdqnaOV7EXkB5A60xnfP5A6cutil-JooiBWU6cdq3gdCHOvrZF5AuZvAIK_z6Lc8z5tWwQQsvmEXLJ4uRyDLu7/s640/DSC_3311.JPG" width="640" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The products that I used were the Benefit primer that I got for free in Glamour magazine, which I'm not convinced about. It feels nice but I don't get the feeling it really helped. Otherwise I have the Boi-ing concealer, which I love but don't use often as I haven't got much of it left and that stuff is expensive! Otherwise I have the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat which was a present for my birthday from my best friend. I basically use this underneath my eyes and eyebrows (for highlighting) and the Benefit one for blemishes. Finally I have the Body Shop Nature's Minerals powder, which was a bargain at 3 euros! ( I love outlet centres.)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsMwBAkwh3VawfXKlFZRpQOVBYorkeuu1BMZqc5CJNM-GzQwhrwK-r7A2IWo3JXbYPiOLOUxlE8XlCZ2DQlmbLStD7F2yYOl81or_LCTZc1k3Dj4gpTrjwGfEojlpj8LNfPUPcwdWuKSnO/s1600/DSC_3312.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsMwBAkwh3VawfXKlFZRpQOVBYorkeuu1BMZqc5CJNM-GzQwhrwK-r7A2IWo3JXbYPiOLOUxlE8XlCZ2DQlmbLStD7F2yYOl81or_LCTZc1k3Dj4gpTrjwGfEojlpj8LNfPUPcwdWuKSnO/s640/DSC_3312.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And now for my eye makeup! I decided to repeat a look I did last December by using cream eyeshadows and a red eyeliner underneath my eyes, despite it not being very summery. Of course, I didn't want to look as if I'd been crying so I used a brown eyeliner on my waterline and was generous with the mascara on my bottom lashes, which I do anyway as my top lashes just flop down with any amount of mascara.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeRZgwkt4rfPfBVVkIHFFrzq2lRc71Kiuta_XxJNWe5P601Zv5kKh4aQDMycd6e9bW-KOdmJKveNif1EzCHIYRKXVfuDSFsO1FZ1eequZu1y2e0teo3mU5yWiBIr7W8-hosfQeK3FVtMTt/s1600/DSC_3316.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeRZgwkt4rfPfBVVkIHFFrzq2lRc71Kiuta_XxJNWe5P601Zv5kKh4aQDMycd6e9bW-KOdmJKveNif1EzCHIYRKXVfuDSFsO1FZ1eequZu1y2e0teo3mU5yWiBIr7W8-hosfQeK3FVtMTt/s640/DSC_3316.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXgvN72GIqdzsQGtznNr_1pdvpVVo9IKQfefEcihXWHe5EPt_7-XuWCKezPkHL-X9Q4lenyA-ljfht8RVQUJnAaO1FB7XaeUWnGNNGNco_df6zg8KoPBM9WPWPqBEdIHlWRE5UvR6NoCxE/s1600/DSC_3318.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXgvN72GIqdzsQGtznNr_1pdvpVVo9IKQfefEcihXWHe5EPt_7-XuWCKezPkHL-X9Q4lenyA-ljfht8RVQUJnAaO1FB7XaeUWnGNNGNco_df6zg8KoPBM9WPWPqBEdIHlWRE5UvR6NoCxE/s640/DSC_3318.JPG" width="640" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So for products, I started off with MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly which is my most used primer. It lasts really long as I've been using it regularly since last summer, so I'm quite impressed with it! Otherwise I used Fred Farrugia's mousse/cream eye shadow, which I just applied with my fingers as the end result is better than using a brush, although I still haven't found a way of applying cream eyeshadow and having it last, which is frustrating. Any tips?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Otherwise I used Sleek's Kohl pencil, which is dark red and was part of their christmas set and then an Urban Decay brown eyeliner and finally, my eyelash curlers and Benefit's Bad Gal mascara, which was also free with Glamour a few months ago.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNCkMRhCo4NDLbVFuINIpF_zdhNzIR8f27X23R4r-fhwQlgYZqRqizhlE-rIPhM7ow0gX5gf6M8YLhFz-hlUf0udjfxZSQLaaml0LRrg66OL1u1vJjXNGH9xvYPsCOpyOaOeuSVQ-MOZrf/s1600/DSC_3319.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNCkMRhCo4NDLbVFuINIpF_zdhNzIR8f27X23R4r-fhwQlgYZqRqizhlE-rIPhM7ow0gX5gf6M8YLhFz-hlUf0udjfxZSQLaaml0LRrg66OL1u1vJjXNGH9xvYPsCOpyOaOeuSVQ-MOZrf/s640/DSC_3319.JPG" width="428" /></a></div>
And for the final touches, I just added a cheek tint, bronzer and a lip stain.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPAvhfpkKofI4Z2qXcZJUzWzMIi9c2Y7Dcd-j00kkCSOrf6blwSSOJtQoDsMRoWfNzjjPWlZUA3dhojhzk-JX5WJD36NoU95MKmB4UF0jYDJJ4zro-YWBwmEW6JYYnHrMybaUUGniySy0O/s1600/DSC_3321.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPAvhfpkKofI4Z2qXcZJUzWzMIi9c2Y7Dcd-j00kkCSOrf6blwSSOJtQoDsMRoWfNzjjPWlZUA3dhojhzk-JX5WJD36NoU95MKmB4UF0jYDJJ4zro-YWBwmEW6JYYnHrMybaUUGniySy0O/s640/DSC_3321.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used Benefit's Hoola bronzer and Posie tint, which are part of the Cabana palette that I got for my birthday and then I used a Maybelline lip tint. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyK-mUDmlcoMB_ZGoclFd_kB6bZMLrQJRxtMZjlGQim1Jj30Ph45oVI2culEGpEba3QQ-1h28fUROApPT7PcyloSiAYhOvgXQK6AxaPEUEvR7mcfMNlGWy1VsPJhGkFm3GGmtUTtGud3IU/s1600/DSC_3324.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyK-mUDmlcoMB_ZGoclFd_kB6bZMLrQJRxtMZjlGQim1Jj30Ph45oVI2culEGpEba3QQ-1h28fUROApPT7PcyloSiAYhOvgXQK6AxaPEUEvR7mcfMNlGWy1VsPJhGkFm3GGmtUTtGud3IU/s640/DSC_3324.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh75grhGT6Lmd6VxMNqtH6QlQxt2xGQxGpWQ7FRiB-1cMyE9HDofGD8AZBrZiK1ab3m_60iYvD03A4npT7GqxRDUdj9oKbHvH3QJZ6U1VntQE9ppXLMSjIOf3RMLcuxeVRCIdnyXJgOxjtF/s1600/DSC_3327.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="429" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh75grhGT6Lmd6VxMNqtH6QlQxt2xGQxGpWQ7FRiB-1cMyE9HDofGD8AZBrZiK1ab3m_60iYvD03A4npT7GqxRDUdj9oKbHvH3QJZ6U1VntQE9ppXLMSjIOf3RMLcuxeVRCIdnyXJgOxjtF/s640/DSC_3327.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And that's it for today! Unfortunately the look didn't last very long because I sweat for some reason and even if I'm not doing anything and I've got the fan on, I still got flustered and my face gets sweaty so the makeup rubs off, which was upsetting me a bit as I'd really like to have normal skin for once. I don't have excessively oily skin, but I do sweat a lot which is unpleasant and unattractive, even if it doesn't happen all the time - only really as soon as I apply my makeup, which is frustrating.<br />
<br />
Anyway I will try and post more regularly with my work makeup from next week onwards, stay tuned¨! </div>

<br />
I have finally got round to posting the makeup from last Wednesday, over a week later, but nevertheless, at least I am blogging! I have just been chilling out this week as I am starting work on Monday (manual labour...yay. It pays though!).<br />
<br />
So Wednesday night/Thursday morning was a lot of fun and I can only recommend that anyone who visits Berlin and wants to go clubbing should try Matrix on a Wednesday. It's <i>Buy 1 Get 1 Free </i>all night so it's not mega pricey and it also has several different rooms with different djs which helps if you get bored by the music. Apparently it's a club for tourists and not real Berliners (lol!) but oh well, I enjoyed myself and it takes a lot for me to enjoy myself going out, so I definitely recommend it. And the people I went with were lovely and awesome (my roomie and I went with a bunch of Brazilians and they were so hilarious and up for a good time).<br />
<br />
Anyways onto the make up!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQosL8WK4IWfUQ4UFKAFHkUO-LrhhLo3WMsedULxbwBSVnWzfwmVrFpn4KMjnuvZ0oit4kNjl8pyrneXk3C70DF-SoOhuHmZLiwGWYYDV6Dad5OZ768wCd-mcJNuDdipvsEzGEMX1cPFPa/s1600/DSC_3210.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQosL8WK4IWfUQ4UFKAFHkUO-LrhhLo3WMsedULxbwBSVnWzfwmVrFpn4KMjnuvZ0oit4kNjl8pyrneXk3C70DF-SoOhuHmZLiwGWYYDV6Dad5OZ768wCd-mcJNuDdipvsEzGEMX1cPFPa/s640/DSC_3210.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
So as for makeup, I used the Naked palette for a light smokey eyes, Benefit Hoola bronzer on my cheeks with Topshop's Neon Rose, Yves Saint Laurent Touch Eclat, which my best friend gave me for my birthday , Benefit Bad Gal mascara (the Glamour mini) and Mac Speak Louder lippie. Haha, I've got quite a few high end stuff now, haven't I?<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
Anyway, I'll finish this here as it's time for me to sleep and boy, do I value my sleep! I'll try and do a few reviews in the next few days, just need to find the right background!<br />

<br />
<br />
I'm going out tonight (hopefully it's not a repeat of the time<a href="http://ohlalamaquillage.blogspot.de/2011/08/paris-night-out-fotd.html"> I went out in Paris</a>- fail!) and I decided to straighten my hair a bit, cause I'm curious to see how long it is and wow it's grown since the last time I straightened it (which was a few months ago lol). I left the top layers curly cause it gives it a bit more texture and doesn't look too artificial.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoQf8EdOy-ikD1-RFOq0fMKZkb3pLekvL2hZjx6mvlMDUuDXrCHGM_3cIP4IpX57W7rtlXEsmE_zgOkr50cLU8ft8tpeHkuh3QuC1RXPhtK4Ml5_w7KrUolwyaJ2XDOVPVW23-LgWLMS_u/s1600/DSC_3209.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoQf8EdOy-ikD1-RFOq0fMKZkb3pLekvL2hZjx6mvlMDUuDXrCHGM_3cIP4IpX57W7rtlXEsmE_zgOkr50cLU8ft8tpeHkuh3QuC1RXPhtK4Ml5_w7KrUolwyaJ2XDOVPVW23-LgWLMS_u/s640/DSC_3209.JPG" width="427" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
please ignore the awful cleavage there, slightly awkward lol...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
But anyway I kind of look terrible cause I haven't applied my makeup yet but this is the best picture to show my hair :) </div>
<br />
I will take pictures of my makeup so I can <b>finally</b> post something makeup related yay!!<br />
<img 0="0" src="http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv8/aimtodream/makeup/signature.png" style="border: 0px none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" />Natshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07712013717572153765noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3217076868411852863.post-69937639090200829542012-07-31T11:13:00.000-07:002012-07-31T11:13:50.224-07:00funny thing in berlin; "celebrity" spottingHey everyone!<br />
<br />
I forgot to mention a funny thing that happened in Berlin in my first week. I was in my local supermarket an my roommate says "Hey look, it's Merkel." Now we had been joking around before so I was all "Yeah yeah, whatever you say..." but she insists on me looking and well? What do you know, it WAS Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany (if you don't know who she is then you need to pay attention to politics lol!)<br />
<br />
So me being sneaky, took a picture with my iPhone (now RIP :((( ) so I figured I'll share with you all so you can chortle at the fact that even people like her go shopping ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCFMbbud2InLf0ah8hrAe7UAl43K8YhpW49hjzf04DHAU83o1Gaf_zmwqKnbQ-bbG9nPF5nNSt2a35cgLY7CWHfQe3P1Ggvb6FxvoA2e7lF1vB5XLSPRofI7jiwdahRaaoWAQOIabbrRxS/s1600/2012-07-19+18.48.52.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCFMbbud2InLf0ah8hrAe7UAl43K8YhpW49hjzf04DHAU83o1Gaf_zmwqKnbQ-bbG9nPF5nNSt2a35cgLY7CWHfQe3P1Ggvb6FxvoA2e7lF1vB5XLSPRofI7jiwdahRaaoWAQOIabbrRxS/s1600/2012-07-19+18.48.52.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
(nicely instagramed ;) ) And see the security guy behind her? There were two more in front of the shop!<br />

<br />
Hi everyone!<br />
<br />
Wow neglect isn't even the right word to describe what I've done with this blog! I'm so sorry that I've been so inactive this year, but truth be told, I've never been busier. Add to that that using my computer wasn't ever really conveniant, especially as I've been the very definition of exhausted throughout the year. Well now I have a laptop so thankfully I can update more often!<br />
<br />
I am currently in Berlin to improve my German and I love the city - I live 1 minute's walk away from the Brandenburg Gate yet I don't see a lot of tourists at all! Berlin is also such a laidback city, perfect to experiment with makeup or fashion without getting odd looks *coughluxembourgpariscough*.<br />
<br />
I have taken a few pictures, but not really any makeup pictures as I've kept it rather simple with concealer, a bit of cream blush, sometimes mascara and usually pink lipstick. You see, it's really hot here and I'm sweating so much it's untrue so I've decided not to put a lot of effort into my makeup routine.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1G6mCsdpYD8hY_YnA7oI8p0k852_TbvWf2P6NoSFd18uXa_pdFZweFOLSl90k3sr-mPRzpThnIJM_mOIctFWXyBON54QY4n87WZiRHM1Wjmi5vLWP0C1c_SZo0JHVsckSh1iDQcvINrhp/s1600/DSC_3020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1G6mCsdpYD8hY_YnA7oI8p0k852_TbvWf2P6NoSFd18uXa_pdFZweFOLSl90k3sr-mPRzpThnIJM_mOIctFWXyBON54QY4n87WZiRHM1Wjmi5vLWP0C1c_SZo0JHVsckSh1iDQcvINrhp/s640/DSC_3020.JPG" width="428" /></a></div>
I just couldn't resist this photo ;) By the way, you can see that my lipstick has faded away by this point lol!<br />
And as you can see, I got my fringe cut rather spontaneously, which in hindsight wasn't the best idea considering how hot it got afterwards.<br />
<br />

This is me without the fringe at the Holocaust Memorial. To be honest, I'm not entirely sold on the memorial because it comes across as more of a playground than a memorial. But this picture is funny cause I photobombed it haha!<br />

At the cinema in the Sony Centre at Potsdamer PLatz. Three guesses what I was going to see! ( starts with a 'the' and ends with 'dark knight rises'!!) The movie was amazing although it made me cry four times and if you haven't seen it yet, you're insane! <br />
<br />

Here's a sort of outfit picture with me wearing my new skirt from Primark :) :) I love these kind of skirts so I was very happy to find it, especially when it was reduced from 13 to 5 euros! <br />

And finally photobooth pictures with Sophie, who took most of these pictures here ;) <br /><br />

This is a rather short post as I'm feeling quite tired and am just gonna go relax after this. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /> </div>
On our way to meet the next youth group, we stopped at this place where they were making sugar from the sugar canes and the guys driving the jeeps were explaining the whole process to us, which was really interesting to hear but also shocking cause the man sitting by that (incredibly incredibly BOILING) pot could possibly lose his eyes cause the heat's so strong, but they have to have someone watching over the pot incase anything goes wrong. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This was with the next youth group which was one of my personal highlights as we played games with them and played Indian games and taught them some Luxembourgish ones and just had a lot of fun. There were some boys there absolutely fascinated with my fan and how it works which was really funny ahaha. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The next day in Solapur on our way to the station for our 5 hour journey to Raichur (dubbed hell by me cause it's so unbelievably hot there). I was fascinated by the rickshaws during my whole trip and I'm quite pleased of this photo cause it's in focus whilst everything else is slightly blurred.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggsonfISeBHYcyh1FS6N2M-o2BBowIGd3NaYcpnPhAAoh9BK098xx2TPZNs8gitAVSzn5VTDy5pfUd5Ca3ZLUEdNyQoCqMSH46rfqr-H3PjV95E1WgQ5Ed2k94NJZ8xYJ0lhSA8zdDNQyT/s1600/DSC_0804.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggsonfISeBHYcyh1FS6N2M-o2BBowIGd3NaYcpnPhAAoh9BK098xx2TPZNs8gitAVSzn5VTDy5pfUd5Ca3ZLUEdNyQoCqMSH46rfqr-H3PjV95E1WgQ5Ed2k94NJZ8xYJ0lhSA8zdDNQyT/s537/DSC_0804.jpg" /></a></div>
On the train, on my 'bunk bed'. It was quite an interesting experience, especially as the AC made the compartment freezing and once we arrived and opened the door, it was all UNFFF with the force of the heat that was outside. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />In our hotel for the night. Neela (Whose village we were staying in the next night) had come with people from her organisation to pick us up from the station and stayed with us at the hotel. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Me in the hotel, looking tired like in all my other photos. Note the classy plastic chair in the background haha! <br />
<br />
That's all for now, hope you enjoyed! <br />

As I've had rehearsals this week (every day from Tuesday till Friday..didn't get much of a break after India, did I?) and I've missed making myself up so much, I've been doing something different for makeup each day as I thought I'd start getting myself back into practice for next week (I'll be doing multiple costume and makeup changes for our play(s)).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv8/aimtodream/DSC_1650.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv8/aimtodream/DSC_1650.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv8/aimtodream/DSC_1651.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv8/aimtodream/DSC_1651.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
So this was Wednesday and I FINALLY used my Naked palette again. Lately I've just been doing eyeliner and mascara as I couldn't be bothered to use eyeshadow in the mornings. Anyway my skin is kinda blemish-y but I don't want to use any foundation or a lot of concealer as next week, I'll be using quite a lot to not look too pale on stage. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv8/aimtodream/DSC_1654.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv8/aimtodream/DSC_1654.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thursday: This was kind of one of those lazy days as I just used a brown Barry M eyeliner (not even LIQUID, which is unheard of for me!) and the usual blush and liptint. After India, I've realised the one makeup product I can't live without is blush. I desperately need some colour in my face above anything else!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv8/aimtodream/DSC_1656.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="268" src="http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv8/aimtodream/DSC_1656.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Friday: I look quite asleep at this point, I guess I hadn't fully woken up yet haha. My hair looks nice, not too thick, as it was still half wet. Despite the 10 degrees celsius weather, I still haven't got out of the habit of going outside with wet hair, which I did the whole time in India cause it was easier and it'd dry really quickly anyway. I used the Naked palette again and my Maybelline gel liner, despite it being all dry now. </div>

My best friend and I were bored this afternoon so we decided to make ourselves up just for shits and giggles (my new favourite expression!). I did mine and she did hers and then we goofed around taking loads of silly pictures (none of which I'll subject you lot to;)!) I've just noticed how pale I look compared to her...downside of being besties with an Italian, I guess ;) </div>

(part 1)Hi all, it's really been a long time since I've posted, hasn't it? I've just returned from a two week trip to India and beforehand, I hadn't had a lot of time to myself and the time that I did had, I just spent relaxing.<br />
<br />
It was quite a stressy time cause I didn't know what to expect with this trip, but obviously it was completely different to what I expected. To give you all a bit of background info, it was part of this youth exchange that a Luxembourgish NGO has been doing (not their first, I believe) and 5 Indian youths, all coming from villages or slums, visited Luxembourg in October (I believe I may have briefly mentioned it) and so in March, it was our turn to go to India and visit various NGOs that AEI (the Luxembourgish one) are partnering with. It was a once in a lifetime experience, as we had the opportunity to stay in the villages of the teenagers who visited Luxembourg and seeing how they live was definitely something new to me.<br />
<br />
Instead of rambling on, I figured I would just post pictures and explain as I go along. Just for background info, we visited the states Maharashtra and Karnataka. Also, there is nothing relevant to makeup here, but this blog also is a bit about my life, so I figured I'd post anyway :) I have way too many photos for one post, so I'll be doing this in parts. I hope you all enjoy and if it's boring, please don't hesitate in letting me know!<br />

This was the sunset when we were on our way to Mumbai, I think we were flying over Turkey at this point, I'm not sure though. Anyway I love sunsets so this had to go in the post.<br />

This is the washing centre in Bombay and we were lucky enough to have a tour through it. It was really interesting to see the system in how they do it, although I'll admit I felt so uncomfortable at how some of the men were looking at me.<br />

This here is the most expensive house in the world and we drove past it (and managed to get a decent photo of it) and it's just so bizarre to see this expensive building in a neighbourhood surrounded by poverty. <br />

I just took a picture of this man cause it looked so funny to see people from the back of their vans just standing there. I wish I could have taken a picture of lots of people all together in a van but I didn't get the opportunity.<br />

This is in Pune now and we'd been to a shop to buy some Indian clothes and this is the outfit I bought. I didn't buy a sari as I figured I'd never wear it back here but the tunic or the trousers I could wear individually so it was more practical to buy them (although the trousers, size M, are HUUUGE on me, which is quite funny).<br />

This is the traffic that you can see out of our window in the hostel we stayed in. I was fascinated by the Indian traffic cause it's so noisy and insane and alltogether, quite the experience.<br />

This is Rohini, one of the teenagers who came to Luxembourg in October. We later on went and stayed in her house in her village although this picture was taken in a restaurant in Pune as we met the Ambassador for Luxembourg whilst in Pune and we all went to dinner. <br />

This is the next evening in the village (unfortunately I can't remember any of the names of the villages, only the cities they were close to).We (me and two other girls) didn't stay in this house, as we were with Rohini, but the adults travelling with us stayed here. My friend Anna borrowed my camera to take pictures of the women whilst they were preparing the food in the kitchen.<br />

The next day, after staying in the village in Rohini's house we came back to the house where the adults stayed and they had a tumeric plantation and so they showed us around it. (This being a tumeric root before they create the powder).<br />
<br /><br />
I think this is enough for today as I'm still relatively tired but I hope you all like this and let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know :) <br />

I've noticed that lately, now that I have an iPhone, I'm taking more pictures of my day to day life so I figured I'd start doing more of these posts.<br />
I've had quite the eventful yet uneventful week as I've been busy practicing piano and cleaning my room (mainly my wardrobe ahaha) and I went to Saarbrucken on Thursday with some bloggers to hit Primark. I spent quite a lot of money which surprised me as usually I am the personification of stinginess. <br />
I'll post about that in full detail another day as I did take some pictures on my camera so I'll try and do that at the end of next week :)<br />
Pics aren't actually in chronological order because the blogger app is actin up but oh well :)<br />
<br />
My newly tidied wardrobe - a pack of marshmallows in a funny shape, haha very mature of me, I know - one of my new tops from Primani - my face - <br />
me at a cafe where I had cake on Tuesday - the mentioned cake - the sun coming out on Monday - primark bags - a few of us at starbucks in Saarbrucken (courtesy of Ines : www.the-chanel-girl.blogspot.com )<br />

Finally its half term here! I don't know about you guys but seven weeks straight of school has drained me! I've been taking it easy this weekend and am going out later on (to buy my ticket for Saarbrucken - our next bloggers meeting) to meet up with Steffi, jenny and Elizabete. <br />
I'm quite excited today cause I had two vaccinations today -not excited about them but rather what they stand for-. I've realised that in just over a month, I'll be leaving for India. Its surreal and daunting but I honestly can't wait! <br />
My vaccines hurt like a b*tch (especially typhoid) but hopefully the ache in my arm will go away which I think it's already doing.<br />
<br />
Anyway I've taken a few fotds over the last few days so again, I'm treating you all to lots of instagram pictures haha!<br />
<br />
The first picture is of my iPhone cover, isn't it cool?! Then you have Saturday's face and today's face and finally, a picture with a few classmates of Friday as we all dressed up for carnival at school, as is tradition the last day before half term. I dressed up as Wanda/Wally and loved it ahahaha <br />

Last night (and tonight) was my school concert and I participated with my music class. We were all quite nervous as we were singing (and one of us rapping!) love the way you lie part 2 and rolling in the deep. It actually web really well and I enjoyed myself so much, but the icing on the cake was that this girl in the year above (an English girl, as it happens) went around telling everyone we were absolutely terrible but well... I think the amount of applause we got THROUGHOUT our performances proved her wrong, the pathetic cow.<br />
<br />
So we had to dress up in black (with a bit of colour to not appear too solemn) and naturally, I also did a bit of makeup. <br />
<br />
One of these pictures is actually a picture taken of my camera because when I was getting ready, I did a FOTD so that I could blog about it ;) and then after our performances, my sister (who arrived with our bro and her boyfriend just as we started) gave me some macarons as a present aww!! I he had one because I couldn't resist but I'm going to try and make them last and not be greedy. <br />
<br />
That's all for today! I'm just gonna chill out today as I'm quite knackered as a few of us went out for a drink afterwards , but only for 15 minutes cause my last bus was coming as THEN the bus broke down halfway home. Thankfully they sent a replacement out about 15 minutes afterwards though.<br />
<br />

Again I've been quite absent lately, which is due to being busy because of school and going on a school trip (to Weimar, if anyone's interested. We also went to the concentration camp Buchenwald, which was certainly a harrowing experience). Aside from that, I've been busy with piano which I've been neglecting a bit and have exams in the next month or so so the stress is really starting now.<br />
<br />
I've also been sick these past few days and am only just feeling better. I bought a second-hand iPhone on friday( 3GS so a tiny bit dated) and I've enjoyed playing with it, especially the photo apps.<br />
<br />
So here are a few random photos I've taken this weekend, mostly of my dog haha!<br />
<br />
And one of the pictures I've added is of my friend Lis and I in front of the Wartburg, where Martin Luther stayed at some point in his life (...fascinating stuff) <br />

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Jackie Clark via email asking if I would be interested in having her write a guest post. Naturally, I was especially as it concerns women diagnosed with cancer, which is a subject close to my heart, as my sister dani had cancer, as those of you who read her blog will know. Anyway moving on, I hope you all enjoy Jackie's post, I know I did!<br />

Make Up Your Own Confidence<br />
By: <a href="http://www.mesothelioma.com/blog/">Jackie Clark</a><br />
<br />
Beauty is something everyone notices, even if they think they do not; it is everywhere, from flowers blooming in the garden to the setting sun. Women, in particular, are very in tune with their own beauty whether it is their inner or outer beauty. For women, beauty and fashion are the ultimate way to make herself feel good, especially on a day when it seems everything else is going wrong. Such as the day a woman is diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, known as <a href="http://www.mesothelioma.com/">mesothelioma</a>. The knowledge that her future is now going to revolve around doctors and treatments for cancer makes a woman feel powerless and as if though her confidence has diminished completely. <br />
<br />
When it comes to dealing with cancer and the <a href="http://www.mesothelioma.com/treatment">treatments</a> that go with it, it is important for women to feel as confident and good as they can; a better mood means an improved immune system, which means a better quality of life, which helps with the way a woman responds to her treatment. Fashion is a mysterious solution to a woman’s confidence issues; whether it is because a gorgeous new pair of shoes make her feel like a queen or a dress that fits just right makes her feel like a movie star. Whatever it is about fashion that makes women feel so confident and sexy is inescapable; and it is imperative women find this happiness within when dealing with cancer. <br />
<br />
Make up helps women feel more <a href="http://fashionfightscancer.myshopify.com/">beautiful</a> as well. One tip that make up experts use on models and other celebrities makes their eyes look brighter and more alive, which is always something a cancer patient could use. All that is required is a shade of shimmery white eye shadow. With the pad of their ring finger, women should apply the shimmery white powder to the corners of the eyes and along the brow bone. The white, shimmery color of the eye shadow brightens the natural color of a woman’s eye and makes the whites of her eyes appear brighter and more alive than they are. <br />
<br />
Another make up tip that can make a woman feel more confident and gorgeous is red lipstick. This bold look is not just for old world Hollywood movie stars, it is for everyone that has lips. A bright red shade in a matte finish worn on a face with minimal makeup can take a little black dress from gorgeous to fabulous in an instant and make a pair of jeans and a blazer look amazing. <br />
<br />
The trick to looking confident and gorgeous is to pick a look and learn how to rock it. Anyone can do it and everyone that tries and does it right will look amazing and fashion forward.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHJ9IHV9hmT6lal_fgxW-MuWhC_ZzZWgDsCUjduc8qHQzwOcz1vSaVU1v0cfmmwjmdHr5LFRSm_hFoTSsivWP2BgNAkslhjAcYcla4H6A60PuDjD8YnhwUJOI6i5UkuX4Gr1OxBSA5rKqD/s1600/31st_037.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHJ9IHV9hmT6lal_fgxW-MuWhC_ZzZWgDsCUjduc8qHQzwOcz1vSaVU1v0cfmmwjmdHr5LFRSm_hFoTSsivWP2BgNAkslhjAcYcla4H6A60PuDjD8YnhwUJOI6i5UkuX4Gr1OxBSA5rKqD/s1600/31st_037.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Eyemakeup:<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3bhyphenhyphenweyXwPrmLYGShp8xcnTnDzNqQsPMROte1v0CbFGEP8y1zooUViU2_qrSqRY3oSw0bmdKv74rZpeXkg-DQxUm3hCpoSwhxXPXObm0BQe6m4Z-eTD_gQ1WOupjZUChqPE8UJT48L5HJ/s1600/31st_039.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3bhyphenhyphenweyXwPrmLYGShp8xcnTnDzNqQsPMROte1v0CbFGEP8y1zooUViU2_qrSqRY3oSw0bmdKv74rZpeXkg-DQxUm3hCpoSwhxXPXObm0BQe6m4Z-eTD_gQ1WOupjZUChqPE8UJT48L5HJ/s1600/31st_039.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Naturally, the Naked palette has been my most reached for product so far, because it's so versatile! Aside from that, my staples have become my Too Faced Natural Eye palette and the Mac Paint Pot in Painterly which is a fantastic base that sometimes doubles as a concealer. The No7 brush is amazing and I'm so glad I got it as it really does blend exceptionally well and is my most used brush.<br />
<br />
Lips:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLp_tX1luIxO-v5HyXFg3YTbgyYt2f-cHotFTveNcyDcNJdztI-TSSnkIWmMCbw809gPa652wXdXq8RTnUt1w2Z_cVy-jkh2uSM2YMCyjYYWBLusNr0l4zCuiLW1UlxPRCNSSllDsLDtpn/s1600/31st_041.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLp_tX1luIxO-v5HyXFg3YTbgyYt2f-cHotFTveNcyDcNJdztI-TSSnkIWmMCbw809gPa652wXdXq8RTnUt1w2Z_cVy-jkh2uSM2YMCyjYYWBLusNr0l4zCuiLW1UlxPRCNSSllDsLDtpn/s1600/31st_041.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
The Sleek Pout Paints have basically made most of my other lippies redundant - again so versatile and I adore mixing the colours and my first MAC lipstick in Speak Louder, a pressie from my sister, is a gorgeous pink colour that I just adore using.<br />
<br />
Cheeks:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4AwlbfHyZDp21kShRA_1z7E3IrjoV9LpGb5z-EExNC2y9B_Ua4lWrQex4nNx-5jmCYaTY43p48vOtTUsSW5y1ma8thvHNBFNbb6FD4B1J5QDAOX9Y5Z6f7UJlSx2CswaQmyo-zAfhM4Gq/s1600/31st_040.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4AwlbfHyZDp21kShRA_1z7E3IrjoV9LpGb5z-EExNC2y9B_Ua4lWrQex4nNx-5jmCYaTY43p48vOtTUsSW5y1ma8thvHNBFNbb6FD4B1J5QDAOX9Y5Z6f7UJlSx2CswaQmyo-zAfhM4Gq/s1600/31st_040.jpg" /></a></div>
So as for cheeks, this L'Oreal blush has been used so much by me this year I've hit the pan! The Fenberry blush shouldn't really count but I haven't stopped using it since I got it and it will definitely become a staple in my makeup bag.<br />
<br />
<br />
Skincare:<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3Hk8DD8ZIpEAcmAR4-fnsAVXolvRXU-JGam5WMVu_zC1D_WJW8pUQYoWrvXkhE-iP-B_gVZOCsoN-7dzlAOhAP4dgq_oAJzCvbyauPBKialqDIR4Xv1IVRp1QTuDWYklPi9GobkJq3Crd/s1600/31st_043.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3Hk8DD8ZIpEAcmAR4-fnsAVXolvRXU-JGam5WMVu_zC1D_WJW8pUQYoWrvXkhE-iP-B_gVZOCsoN-7dzlAOhAP4dgq_oAJzCvbyauPBKialqDIR4Xv1IVRp1QTuDWYklPi9GobkJq3Crd/s1600/31st_043.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Finally, this Clinique moisture surge gel is great and basically the only skincare thing I use consistently.<br />
<br />
So that's it from me tonight and I wish you all a very happy new year! <br />

First of all, a friend told me a while ago that their makeup brushes were amazing but I never went to the shop. Then I saw these brushes on <a href="http://onthepinksideoflife.blogspot.com/">Jenny</a>'s blog and enquired as to where she got them - HEMA being the answer.<br />
<br />
And so I went along today and found lots of brushes that looked really good...dirt cheap!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoeGzDahVB4sNGxUVG6GOaXuHjjlsTnVdda9cHtfSdyWtXX8w45hC5Szqz8rjPr4UbsP5L2PeXX9aNngsYWMAA0e_wnG4Tc-Z5p7QSiz5F1oaCdGJhRm_ymIC2iJwaRvwZuMrDC4vg-UyO/s1600/31st_003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoeGzDahVB4sNGxUVG6GOaXuHjjlsTnVdda9cHtfSdyWtXX8w45hC5Szqz8rjPr4UbsP5L2PeXX9aNngsYWMAA0e_wnG4Tc-Z5p7QSiz5F1oaCdGJhRm_ymIC2iJwaRvwZuMrDC4vg-UyO/s1600/31st_003.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgR6euxxSfbIHZv1Ghdq9ZebgEQhDKDniggUPgYF3fNV56OJfSK5-5olw8Mg1RkQP_9Cl8r-rtD93wVX4c2mBdua_ak-2fXG2AzP40V-81YmmRhTOz8JNjmve1R2N_eUYr6Roa8kmuB5FuS/s1600/31st_029.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgR6euxxSfbIHZv1Ghdq9ZebgEQhDKDniggUPgYF3fNV56OJfSK5-5olw8Mg1RkQP_9Cl8r-rtD93wVX4c2mBdua_ak-2fXG2AzP40V-81YmmRhTOz8JNjmve1R2N_eUYr6Roa8kmuB5FuS/s1600/31st_029.jpg" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The eyeliner cost 4,50 € as did the grey brush, I think and the other two cost 2,95€ each! Amazing prices, especially in Luxembourg (UKers may not bat an eyelid seeing as they have amazingly cheap stuff like Primark but for Luxland this is incredibly cheap)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I haven't tried them yet but look forward to!</div>

<br /></div>
So as for the FOTD, I've been trying out my Fred Farrugia cream eyeshadow...still not sure and I have used my Sleek berry collection kohl pencil, which I LOVE even if it might make me look tired, I love the way the red contrasts with my blue eyes :)<br />

<br />
<b>1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?</b><br />
Not only did I go to Paris for two weeks all by myself, I had my first summer job (films don't count) and had my theatre debut. I thoroughly enjoyed being on stage and I've finally found a hobby that I'm actually good at (without sounding vain).<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9JpRqIglcwKWqCMu7H4dK0a2ZKK-ZSYLqllqgx-1_jcdERZlXxjxYN2HorOTDHg5BRPyob6sqG6XNG5IM5lXBPink0Xgm9aCA9D25uoA-1gi9fdNXEse-4BGoDU5ABQYd-2OHWYpJvn4b/s1600/dressrehearsal.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9JpRqIglcwKWqCMu7H4dK0a2ZKK-ZSYLqllqgx-1_jcdERZlXxjxYN2HorOTDHg5BRPyob6sqG6XNG5IM5lXBPink0Xgm9aCA9D25uoA-1gi9fdNXEse-4BGoDU5ABQYd-2OHWYpJvn4b/s1600/dressrehearsal.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A picture from our dress rehearsal!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<b>2. What countries did you visit?</b><br />
I visited the usual countries this year, although I'm not sure travelling through Belgium would count, but aside from that I visited Cologne in Germany, Paris and England. Paris was my definite highlight as it was such a fantastic experience.<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK7mNZ1BAd0x2ukeF2MfIfrh7B9CQUdsStezR1cShLO4cWn_0Hvh5N0SnpEopX7KIK0OEEYDPKjgWLrfLf3ckwd1uYQFKsd6Jfwq5PEIviUmrfzycRVvokQsDK8VbdjBe811GZ7VhCDeAd/s1600/parisd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK7mNZ1BAd0x2ukeF2MfIfrh7B9CQUdsStezR1cShLO4cWn_0Hvh5N0SnpEopX7KIK0OEEYDPKjgWLrfLf3ckwd1uYQFKsd6Jfwq5PEIviUmrfzycRVvokQsDK8VbdjBe811GZ7VhCDeAd/s1600/parisd.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Me in Paris at the Sacre-Coeur (with the lovely backdrop of Paris behind me)</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<b>3. What moments from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory?</b><br />
Having a night out (that didn't go exactly to plan) in Paris. It was so much fun being with a bunch of new people in a new city and this night just stuck with me.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb3ryEAfERzHljWwB3ct5kY6S5EeGEFZ3AisMrSLFnJMZcFXz7d-p2HpVURoCEA-kxT0omtFUYRjoRZXVjyQPoFD0aRfybPkNqLMeIXYL543vbxxGtA0U6NIVqAsymAaERTL0cNLUYrQNa/s1600/paris.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb3ryEAfERzHljWwB3ct5kY6S5EeGEFZ3AisMrSLFnJMZcFXz7d-p2HpVURoCEA-kxT0omtFUYRjoRZXVjyQPoFD0aRfybPkNqLMeIXYL543vbxxGtA0U6NIVqAsymAaERTL0cNLUYrQNa/s1600/paris.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>4. Where did most of your money go?</b><br />
Funnily enough, probably on makeup! After all, this is the year I bought the Naked palette and my MAC paintpot.<br />
<br />
<b>5. What song will always remind you of 2011?</b><br />
So many, but for the moment I would say Slow Moving Millie's version of <i>Please, please, please, let me get what I want </i>as the John Lewis advert was so cute and I've listened to the song a lot lately.<br />
<b><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/8j4hg9VrYX4" width="560"></iframe></b>
<br />
<b>6. What do you wish you'd done more of?</b><br />
To be honest, probably blogging...I've really neglected my blog so far. <b> </b><br />
<b><br /></b><br />
<b>7. What do you wish you'd done less of?</b><br />
Spent time worrying about 'friends' and all that crap.<b> </b><br />
<b><br /></b><br />
<b>8. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?</b><br />
At home with my family, I don't really celebrate it much. <br />
<br />
<b>9. Did you fall in love in 2011?</b><br />
I haven't fallen in love, but I did have a pretty massive crush on a guy that didn't work out. <b> </b><br />
<b><br /></b><br />
<b>10. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? </b><br />
It's not so much hate, rather I've fallen out with a girl I thought I was really close with (according to her, apparantly not) and who just all of a sudden decided to spend a lot more time with other people, which was hurtful and I decided to sever ties as it's not worth wasting time on ungenuine friendships.<br />
<br />
<b>11. What did you want and get?</b><br />
I desperately wanted to improve my languages somewhat so that I wouldn't fail this new year and with a bit of perseverance, I have improved but I still have a long road ahead of me! Aside from that, I got myself a lovely new camera so that I can get some lovely memories in high resolution<b> .</b><br />
<b><br /></b><br />
<b>12. What did you want and not get?</b><br />
As silly as it sounds, I wanted a boyfriend, yet still the (for the time being) perfect guy eludes me!<br />
<b><br /></b><br />
<b>13. What was your favorite film(s) of this year?</b><br />
Naturally, <i>Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. </i>I sobbed like a baby the four times I went to watch this! Aside from that, I really enjoyed X-Men: First Class.<br />
<b> </b><br />
<b>14. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?</b><br />
On my birthday -17th-, I went to the graveyard, as has become tradition since 2007, and then had cake with my family and best friend and then went to go see <i>Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides </i>with my two best friends.<br />
<b> </b><br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">my birthday cake!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<b> </b><br />
<b>15. Who was the best new person/people you met?</b><br />
Hmm...this is a bit of a hard one, but I guess it's between <a href="http://www.jesuisuneamie.blogspot.com/">Steffi</a>, who's now a classmate of mine for the next three years and a great person to sit next to in English, History, Biology and Physics (I think that's all) and with whom I can always discuss things like blogging or memes ;) Otherwise, it would be Samiha, the resident party girl or Sophie, with whom I lived in Paris and whom I miss incredibly :(<br />
<br />
<b>16. Did you learn anything?</b><br />
How to swear in Russian!<br />
<b> </b><br />
<b>17. Who did you spend Valentines with?</b><br />
Nobody.<br />
<b> </b><br />
<b>18. Do you live in the same place you did at the beginning of the year?</b><br />
Yep<br />
<b> </b><br />
<b>19. Did you change your hair?</b><br />
<b> </b>Yes, I got a fringe and frequently hvoer between having it loose or pinned up.<br />
<br />
<b>20. Any weddings in 2011?</b><br />
Yeah, my two very close friends Kate and Will got married. It was a humble affair, very small ;) My cousin got married the day before the Royal Wedding (not intentionally) but I was unable to go.<br />
<b><br /></b><br />
<b>21. Any babies in 2011?</b><br />
Don't believe so<br />
<br />
<b>22. So overall was it a good year?</b><br />
It had its ups and downs, I'll be honest, but I think I lived more this year, as stupid as that sound. I definitely had a few new experiences.<br />
<br />
<b>23. Were you naughty or nice?</b><br />
Nice, obviouuuusly.<br />
<br />
<b>24. What's your New Year's Resolution?</b><br />
Improve my german and lose weight!<br />
<br />
<br />
